I'M LOST F10 M5 wheels with sport suspension my rear is rubbing with 285/35/r19 Tires
Hey guys below are my 3 other post about my problem just to give you a background and what I have tried to fix this issue. I went with the 19" F10 M5 rims (which I love and make the car) but I have been rubbing in the rear for the past year. I went with the 285/35/r19 tire size after about a month of searching on the forums and actually seeing a 545i sport with that size tiers at the dealer.
It wasnt bad at for the last 6 months but then I got the lower control arms replaced and its happening a lot more. So I finally just replaced my rear differential oil to see if that helps as stated in some other posts. Well I am still rubbing after I got my car back from the shop today with new front wheel bearings (rides like glass) and after the flush smaller bumps dont rub when I go over now but when i still make a sharper turn or go over a larger dip it still rubs. 90% of the time it is in the back RIGHT rear and not the left side.
I do not know what to do next, I really do not want to order new tires 275/30/19 or 275/35/19 as they will be around $800 installed for the rear and multiple members have used my same current tire size on their cars.
Should I roll my fenders? Someone in North Florida preferably if I have to do it
Maybe my springs and struts are bad aka going soft giving it to much movement and its rubbing?
Any opinions or help would be much appreciated. Its just embarrassing when I have people in the car and this happens and I just need to get it fixed lol
Please and thank you for your help

One Member on the M5 board said
the rubbing comes from the fastening hardware in side the wheel well that attaches the back bumper cover...if you search there are several threads and remedy for this...adjusting the camber can help also...

why not remove the wheel, and see where its rubbing?? you should see rub marks on tire or wheel well.
not sure why you would change diff fluid if you have a rubbing sound.
and the factory size tires for 19" wheels(excluding m5) is 245/35/19 and 275/30/19
and dont just buy spacers. find out where its rubbing. if you're rubbing on the front side of the tire inside the wheel arch, spacers will make it worse.

A few other members have posted about a rear rubbing clunking/rubbing sound and most of them got the rear differential oil replaced and it fixed it. A lot of threads about that but mine still is doing it so its not that.

I have 285/35/19 in the rears with M5 166 wheels on my 545. I first thought it was the fenders too, but it turned out to be the plastic wheel well liners. At first i went to get the fenders rolled thinking that will fix it, but the fender guy pointed it out me that it's actually the liners. So I went home and got a heat gun and cut up a block of wood to a crescent moon shape. Heated up the liner slowly, and pushed it with the round edge of the wood away from the tires to give it more clearance....problem solved. This idea came from another forum member here....forgot which guy or which forum.
