My sympathies are with you and your family IrishEyes. I'm sure in time things will get easier...
Don't be a stranger around here -- with or without an E60. The lounge has been pretty jokeless without you popping in recently!

My Ride: Collected Sept 2009 - BMW E90 M3, Silverstone II, Novillo Black leather, 19" M Double-Spoke alloys, High Beam Assist, Electronic Damper Control, Voice Control, PDC, USB, DAB, High Gloss Shadowline, Sliding armrest, Trim Finishing in aluminium grey.
Thanks guys for the thoughts and comments. I think this is what helps make this forum the best there is. It's amazing how many stories one hears/told about/comes across about the ravages of cancer especially when a close member of the family succumbs to the disease. I hope other members who have been in the unfortunate position of loosing a family member have bounced back to (near) normality after the fact.
I (sadly) waved good-bye to my E60 earlier this evening. :'( The I6 sounded lovely as it purred away with its new owner. I'm going to miss the quality of the whole engineering package. When things settle down and after viewing the E92 at its launch on Sept 28 I'll try to make a decision on an E92 or maybe another E60.
I'll post one of the last snaps I took earlier today in the grounds of the Royal Hospital in Kilmainham.

Could have possibly spent more time framing it but what the heck.

IrishEyes i'm very shocked about your loss especially because you appeared to be such a joy bringer, and a happy lad overall. I'm very sorry for the loos of your father. May he rest in peace. The E60 doesn't become so important after all. SO do whatever you do, but stick around regardless of what you drive, even if it is a merc , you've proven yourself the kind of guy you are. Sorry my friend.

I finally read your thread, and I am very sorry for your loss. I know exactly how you feel having lost both parents years ago--when I was in my twenties. I hope that you get another 5er; you have been a very positive forum member. I say post about 5er matters as long as you are interested--whether you own one or not. I don't think that forum membership "requires" that one own a 5er.
