It's a sad day for me as I announce the retirement of my 2008 550i and officially release photos of my new ride... A Kia Amanti!

Here's a shot of the beautiful exterior:

Many people have already come up to me and asked me what year my Mercedes E-class is!

Here's one of the interior:

And here's one of the center dashboard area -- amazing! It even has a central display screen just like the E60!

Pay particular attention to how well the trim is finished around the gear selector -- what a machine!

Okay, so I don't have night vision anymore but I don't think I'll miss it. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I also don't have a sport automatic transmission, ventilated seats, active steering, active roll stabilization, active cruise, comfort access, HUD, lane deviation warning system, navigation, HD radio, Sirius, or a USB/iPod adapter. I do have a cassette player though!

Once I get past my break-in, I'll be sure to post my full review! I can't wait!! In the meantime, you guys can find me over on http://forums.amanti.net (they're making me an admin over there!)

Which is more important: real life safety or good ratings?
The two should go hand in hand.

Rudy - you HAVE to tell me where you got those rims. Do they come in larger sizes, like 15" ?

No, they're only available in the 14" size but I'm really excited about the money I'm going to save when it comes time to replace the tires! Also, I have great protection from potholes, etc. so I'm good to go!!

Rudy,

It's often said that Americans can't do British humour.

You've just proved otherwise...

So you're saying only the Brits are going to think this is funny?

If you look closely at the picture of the driver's side window, there appears to be two round white cylinders looking outward. Maybe that's Kia's binocular based night vision system? Just hit the brakes, twist the wheel to the right to powerslide the car sideways, look into those night vision binoculars, and BAM! Forward-looking night vision!

Lou, did you get a hold of a copy of the owner's manual? I didn't think Kia made them available in .pdf form online just yet...

Not yet, but I'm searching all over the web for it.

Of course, if that's not night vision, you could always go for an after-market system:
