If anyone is still looking for Winter Tires...
The tire rack has a good deal on the Pirelli Winter 210 SnowSport tires, $115 piece. I think when they first came out in 06 (if my memory serves me right) they ran like $175 to $190 a piece back then. Then I think last year they ran around $140 to $150. Very nice tire for the money and has excellent perfomance for the winter. Not made to go through 6+" of snow but then again what tire is for a BMW. But on your typical winter roads this tire will give you what you need and still perform on the dry pavement quite good. Feels very much like an all season tire on dry pavement. One the better tires I've found for winter use and not giving up on the performance side as much as many many many winter tires do.
Just though I'd give everyone a heads up.

Those tires look nice...you can just look at a snow tire and tell whether it's going to be good in the snow or not. The reviews were pretty positive, except the remarks with deeper snow weren't so great. I wish they were on the survey, though.
Pirelli 240 is the only one offered in 18"...looks the same as the 210. They "look" like a better handling snow tire than some of the others, which is kind of how the reviews read.

Already did this.....thanks.
Good deal ... I always say "It's not how much you make but how much you save that counts!" I just bought a GPS for one of my kids and one of the Mr Rebates links has a bonus rebate that added 8% to my account! It's only $16 on that purchase but when you add it up it turns out to be real money.
When the rebate account settles up [ usually 45 days or so] I dump mine into my paypal account so when I wander thru ebay I feel like I'm shopping with "free money".
BTW, is it raining in western PA too - my daughter and soon to be son in law are out there for a wedding.

Buy always "fresh" tires, because a four year old tire is out do to rubber fatigue.
