So yesterday the NYC area got a large amount of rainfall. Driving around some streets was almost like drivin through rivers. I ended up turning around from one block b/c it was flooded, however some clown in an Explorer made it very difficult to make a u-turn in the tight block. I did back into some water, not sure how deep it was. But soon after my CD started skipping, iDrive started freezing up and eventually just restarted. When I got to my destination I restarted the car. iDrive has been working fine since it restarted itself. Sorry for the long story but could the water I had to drive through wet a module?? Any answers would be appreciated.

Definitely need to check the spare tire well in your trunk. If your car has a Micro Power Module it may have gotten wet and will eventually burn.

Not only there but check your battery compartment and look where the battery is sitting. Check if there is water in there. I had that problem!

So is your I-drive back to normal now? If not, what did you do? Mine just went black-out while driving! Need some advise from the Seniors here! Thanks!

This happened on my last E60 except iDrive kept resetting over and over, a couple times per minute. The resolution was to replace the CCC unit (I think the nav hard drive). Hope this helps!
