Just wanted to post the issue for anyone that this has happened to in the past or in the future.

Yesterday my air conditioner started leaking water out of the vent in the drivers side foot well (near gas pedal and brake pedal) and out of the front center vents under the iDrive screen. The water out of the front vents was spattering, hitting me while driving and was accompanied by a problematic sound. This occurred as I pulled up at home and parked. A half hour later when I started the car again leaving I noticed the iDrive screen was black with no functionality, radio, PDC, Nav, etc. I thought initially it was just a glitch and turned the car off and restarted however, still black.

I assume this is from the leak and the wires and/or idrive unit have been damaged. I should have my new 550i in a couple of weeks or so. This car is on lease and im turning it in. I've called my SA and reported the problem however, hesitant to drop off to be fixed as id have a loaner for a while. Everything works fine just no radio, nav, pdc, etc. The air conditioner is still blowing cold air (maybe not for long)...it funny that Id rather drive my 545i with no radio, nav, pdc vs the 06 Alpine White X5 (GMs loaner) without active steering, etc...

I guess this will make getting the new 550i that much sweeter!
