One last time for any info please.. BUMP
What do you guys usually see when you reset your microfilter in the I-Drive? Mine went to 100,000 miles, shouldn't it only be 15,000?

That same thing happened to me two weeks ago when I reset the cabin air filter...it reset to 100,000 miles. I've driven it about 1000 miles since and it still registers 100,000 miles. Plus it's been pretty dusting around here lately with all the road salt dust and stuff.
I'd love to know what's going on here....

Same issue here.. I've driven about 300 miles since it was reset and the Microfilter still reads 100,000 miles.
Anyone experience this?

I tried tonyd's procedure above trying to reset the cabin air filter. I've got a 2007 550i. When I press and hold the odometer reset button, the triangle comes up but as soon as I release it, it immediately goes back to the temp and time. If I continue to hold it down it will go back to the temp and time after about 15 seconds. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.

I believe if you keep holding the button down after the triangle then the icons will appear for the oil, microfilter, sparkplugs, breaks, etc.
Try that.. i could be wrong.
Let us know what the Microfilter resets to... 100,000? 15,000?

That doesn't work. If I hold it down, the triangle appears, and while still holding it down, it goes back to the temp and time after 15 secs. or so. So the quick release and the continuous hold goes back to the time and temp. I was thinking that maybe because I have an '07 vs. the '04 tonyd has there might be a different procedure.

This morning I tried it again and held down the odometer reset an extra long time.
It goes time/temp - triangle - time/temp - apparent german lettering.

I start my first post with the advice ? be careful if you newbie, because you can make it worse. Definitely talk with very good expert or simply get ?Peake Research R5 FCX-III Fault Code Reader?!
