I own a 2005 530i e60, I recently started to experience an issue with the iDrive. I was driving about a week ago and su8ddenly the iDrive Shutoff on me but the car was fine and running, I then went back home to grab to pick up some stuff. As soon as I tried restarting the car, It wouldt start. lights, stereo i drive was on but no car start. It wasnt the starter either no click nothing. After waiting about 3 hours the car started again and evreyhtuing was fine! It happened again a few days later, same sypmtopns, driving, i drive reboot, then no car start after the car has been shut off. Its in the dealer right now and They are trying to reproduuce which all theyve been able to reproduce was the idrove reboot but not the car failing to start. Has anyone experienced this?

 

dodgy battery?

 

I just got the battery replaced a few months ago at the dealer. All the electronics work fine when the I try to restart the car but it just wont start.
