Have recently had an issue where my iDrive Screen 'blanked' and the whole system 'locked-up'.

Have seen reference on here for re-booting the iDrive (similar to a PC's Crtl+Alt+Del function) which is DVD eject+CD eject+ mute button, but I take it this referrs to cars equipped with Nav.

However, my car doesn't have Nav so I don't have the DVD eject button - so what is the sequence on my car? Is it still possible?

As I recall, there is not a similar reboot procedure for those of us without Nav...

I don't have nav, and it works if I press the CD eject and mute buttons.

Interesting! I recall others trying this and it not working. Or my age is showing and my memory is not what it used to be...
