iDrive Problem
#1
I have a 530d with the latest wide screen DVD professional navi system 4 months old been back to dealer two times with intermittent locking up of the idrive display, the screen locks up, all I get is BMW displayed. My car has been back to the supplying dealer twice so far for 3 days on each visit, it has had all the latest software upgrades and all has been ok for the last month, now the problem has come back, also another problem the seat belt alarm alert is indicating that the passenger has no seat belt on... It does not realise that there is no passenger in the seat, the temporary cure is to clip the seat belt buckle into the holder. I'm booked back in to my dealer for 3 more days next week ... Has any owner had similar problems and do they think BMW may be able to cure these problems!

First of all, welcome to the forum!
The seat belt problem I have too, but not the idrive problem.
The seat belt problem only occurs when I've had a passenger and he left the car, while my engine was running. Then the sensor doesn't realize the passenger is gone.
I will have my car at the dealer in October to get a couple things fixed, this one too. I've allready been told it can be fixed, they seem to know what the problem is.
