idrive and instument cluster problems...

anyone have a problem withg their idrive and from what i can figure the entire computer/electrical system. no loss of power or issues while driving. but for the past few weeks with no apparent reason the idrive and instument cluster goes out along with the radio. when the computer resets i get 2 warning messages, safe-start malfunction and something else i cant remeber right now. after it resets the the warnings remain on but no issue with car. once i stop and restart the car the warnings go away with no issues. any help would be appreciated. thanx

I had the exact same problems at around 51,000 miles and ended up having to replace both alternator and battery. I would definitely check both of those soon as mine quickly went from a minor problem to almost undriveable due to lack of power. And I hope you have warranty as my dealer charged around 900 for alternator and 500 for the battery, good luck
