ok, i finally tried it but it didn't work <_<. i left the key on both pos 1 and 2, held both volume button and eject button down for more than 15 seconds. nothing happened but only turned the radio off while i released my hand
. i also started the engine and did the same, no luck

My Ride: Black 520i, Black leather interior, Active Steering, DSC, PDC, Ornamental grille, Audio Aux Input
:'( it cannot get worse!
the entire LCD control display is non-functional
the whole system just died:
so no music, no PDC
also instrument cluster acting up
cluster did a "reboot" - needles went to zero on all gauges
then after a while came back on.
got all sorts of funny faul messages:
"dynamic drive fault" "cruise control fault" when i got none of these options.
bringing it into dealer tomorrow.
