iDrive controller jamming.

Hi, when you are trying to browse through a mp3 cd or your contacts list via bluetooth should your iDrive controller lock up refuse to turn, but then turns if pushed harder. Its sort of as if its trying to read the disc, but its quite slow and the controller locks up alot. Thanks.

yeah, that's a commonly known problem. BMW at one point released an update which would disable the resistance all together. Then 1 update later I think they re-enabled it. It's just something you have to live with for now

I agree -- I have the latest possible update and mine does the same thing. Just hold it at its 'stop' position and it eventually gives in and lets you keep scrolling. Kind of kicks back and forth in your fingers/hand a bit.

Haha yer you got it, its like it kicks back and forth in your fingers lol. ok, as long as its not just my car, thanks for the replies and reassurance lol.
