Hi, another query... since having my iDrive repaired (and never seeing it before)
I have been reading through the book and noticed loads of options under the climate option - mine only seems to have 'centre vent'?
Also under settings, you are supposed to be able to adjuist the auto tailgate angle on the tourers... yet theres no such option on mine even though i have the auto tailgate?
Also the ODC screen shows a saloon instead of a touring, has this been coded wrong perhaps?
Bizarre stuff - would have thought I'd have more than i have given the spec of my car

Comon, nobody knows the answer to this? Do you all have Centre vent only? seems very limited for a whole 'climate' catagory on the iDrive
If you have the full climate control rather then just air conditioning make sure that its in the full manual mode with auto switched off on the panel and you should then get all the adjustment options. In auto mode a lot of the options are greyed out as the system has control. It can get rather confusing. Hopefully that's your issue rather then any iDrive fault.

thanks for replying....
There isn't any greyed out option at all, only one option which is the centre vent, even when in manual mode.... its really bizarre, ive had a new CCC coded recently - i bought the car with no iDrive so didnt see the previous menus.
I'm wondering if its coded correctly to show full climate.... assuming i have full climate? i have three dials, two outer dials are climate temps...middle one is manual fan with air con buttons etc

OK lets clarify some thing first, there's two types of climate control on the E60.
Automatic air conditioning (no FA for this) basic single temp control and centre vent control in the idrive.
Automatic air conditioning advanced SA534, dual temp control, full vent control in idrive.
Ok just saw your new post, if you have the dual temp control you have SA534 which means your idrive has been coded wrong.

It defo has duel climate.... which is the system you describe?
It went in last week to Sheffields main specialists - he coded in a new CCC, the MPM and the new battery aswell as changing two relays. I also asked him to perform an update which he did.... I guess he may have selected the wrong car?
To be honest I had expected the PDC screen to show a tourer as opposed to the saloon too... knowing how advanced these bimmers are

thanks for the advice fella... I will be doing just that - I'm sure he'll sort.
As i'm getting my software (hopefully) up and running tonight, do you think it'll be easy enough for me to recode? I'm used to using Vagcom which isn't too disimilar from what i've seen so far....
