that is certainly the truth, although it is popular for a reason. I have silver but it doesn't stand out the way black does.

Black looks the best IMO by far. Makes the car more compact, more sinister. Just a bear to keep clean.

Silver is the best dirt color, easiest to mainitain. The sides look a bit large at some angles.

If you have time for a new hobby keeping a black car clean, go for it. Otherwise choose a light color: Tisilver, Tigray or Silver gray will do it.

black is always the best color...only if you keep it clean all the time . white, imho, doesn't look good in most cars but looks very good on e60 . i have silver grey just because i don't wash my car at all . i take her to detail shop when she needs to pamper .

I like black the most, and silver grey is the best "dirt colour", IMHO.
But my wife doesn't like black, and the silver grey s so popular... and is so close to the colour of the concrete...
It had to be orient blue for me.
Orient blue needs a lot of washing...

What about Black Saphire which is black metallic? How do you like that color?

I chose black as well. The lighter colors do show the lines better, but side-by-side the black looks sleeker. Especially from the side.

Notice these two photos how the black seems to blend into the shadows of the car, giving it a more sleeker side view.

Its only perception, and its all a matter of opinion. Obviously everyone likes different things, or BMW would only offer 1 color.

(Probably that would be black )

I saw Jet Black next to Sapphire Black, and the difference from 10' was almost imperceptable. The dealer actually got them wrong for a moment and corrected himself. When you get right on the car, you can see the metallic flakes in the paint.

I chose Jet black.

Well I?m offering a complete list from the inoficial Swedish poll made with my family: wife and 2 daughters 7 and 9 years old btw.

Here we go;

White- NoNo due to amount of snow every winter, can hardly see the car

Black-NoNo to hard to keep clean

Orient Blue- same as above

TiSi- No to light

Black Sapp-No still to dark

Mystic Blue- Yes why not- my second choice

Si gray-No, to common in every corner

Amethyst- Very interesting, but No!

Ti gray-No to greenish

Charietto Red-No not again, I?ve had it in my 2 latest cars, so It?s a NoNo

The only paint that is really astonishing is:

In first place:

OXFORD GREEN II

IMHO
