The current 2011-onwards Mustang GT is lighter, more powerful (412hp with Premium) and faster. Are you sure it was actually one of the newer models? I have my doubts. The 2010 had around 315hp, and despite it being lighter probably isn't as quick as your modified 545.
Dinan mods notwithstanding, the 2011/2012 GT would almost certainly be faster.

You just reinforced what I've been saying all along: It's not what car u drive, it's the size of the arm hanging out the window.
What good is having a car that can go 200 MPH if you can only tolerate 120? A victory is a victory. This one counts because he had the bigger nut sack to push his car to its limit and beat a "superior" car. This was not a book contest, this was a contest on the open road and he clearly won.

id put big dollars on a 2012 stang all day long.
the new mustang gt gives the ctsv a run for its money. NO CHANCE it was a '12 and you won... unless the driver was my mother and not really racing.

i wouldnt have started the thread based on a lie. not being defensive, just letting you know that you can rest assure that my post was accurate in every way.
also, im born and raised in Detroit, i can tell you the make and model of almost any car just by looking in my rear view mirror...often down to the trim level. i know a '12 when i see it.
in addition, i owned a fourth gen (F-platform) Camaro Z28 in high school/college that i raced until it fell apart/i got my license suspended lol. ive had five GM cars and four foreign.....so yea, i know my cars and definitely how to handle myself behind the wheel....have blown the doors off of tons of people who were better 'equipped' than myself. while on two wheels, i took my R1 to the track and learned how to translate speed into skill. (disclaimer: im no pro tho....)
but i understand this isnt an HP/race forum....i just wanted to share a random experience i had with members here. i guess i didnt take into account all the differing opinions or assumptions that people would make hahaha.
