just thought I would let you all know that my i-pod menus have been fixed! Previously, when the car was switched off the car would forget the playlist information for the i-pod, connected through the usb. When starting up again it would start on the same track (within the same playlist), but I had to maunally search nd select the relevant playlist again to see all of the tracks). I believe that others have had the same problem?
The car has been into the dealer (Elms in Bedford) to have a few teething problems sorted out (clutch pedal creaking, side repeaters full of moisture, and the No. 7 programable button not sensoring your finger when you hover over it). The car was in overnight and they have repalced a control unit within the radio. I assume that they have also upgrade the software as the car now recalls all playlist inforamtion when restarted!
To me this was the biggest let down with the USB option, so I am really pleased that BMW have found a fix...
As an added bonus, all the other problems have been sorted as well, so the stripped out racer ( ) is back on top form!
I have not picked up on anothe post about this, if someone else has already mentioned it, then apologies for flagging it again.

I am not sure, the car wasbuilt in July I believe, delivered to me at the start of September. Do I have to go into the hidden menu to check the progman version?
I would suggest enquiring with the dealership as to exactly what you were upgraded to.
