Well. In response to the $4 a gallon thread, i thought i would post this....
I have a 530 M Sport Petrol and it costs me $140 (UK equivalent £6 a gallon or £90 to fill my car up.....)
That means we pay $9.30 a gallon for petrol
Also the diesel costs £6.35 a gallon.
Thats USD $9.85 a gallon! how bad is that! So all those people that have diesels in Uk are not really that much better of than petrol drivers
How about that then!!

Yeah all our American friends who complain at their prices don't quite realise how lucky they are. We pay a fortune for our fuels and it's not as if we have huge average salaries either. I have 545i and at least quarter of my monthly wage goes on petrol. That's just if I'm commuting to work and around town. If I actually go anywhere our of the city it can cost me double per month.

....but as a pal from NYC who visited recently pointed out, we get free healthcare, free prescriptions, free trips to the doctor and cheap NHS dentists which make it feel okay i reckon
