Stock? mid 5s...

Modded (ECU REMAPPED, EXHAUST/CATS, AFE or DINAN, SCOOPS) maybe less of 5s.... Ah! don't forget to remove your mat floors and aux tire!
Haha, I just might do that.

There's a member on here that got his stock 545 below 5 seconds, I think 4.8 or 4.9... do a search but I wouldn't call that average!

That's probably with a brake start though.

That would be me.Also znod has some 0-60 times below 5 secs.I have recorded more than 25 0-60 times in less than 5 secs, most in the 4.80s & 4.90s.I did record 1 run of 4.78 secs. All times I recorded below 5 secs were in excellent weather conditions(below 60 F and dry humidity conditions).I do brake torque mildly, about 1000 rpms and try for zero wheelspin.Any wheelspin causes poorer times.I now have a 550I and to date I have not got better 0-60 times with the 550.Both cars are Steps.I have recorded times in the 4.80s & 4.90s with my 550,but on average they are no better than my 545.

Oh, well I'm definitely in the wrong place then. South West Florida isn't really the driest/coldest place there is.

so you're saying that we are achieving 0-60 times the same as RS6's, M5's etc....? hmmm hard to believe as I own a 545i and my friends own an RS6 and e39 M5 and although it's close I ain't the same or quicker!!

from the traffic light grandpris I've had I would say it's about 5.6 - 5.7. I've gone against a 335i coupe and a scooby WRX and we were the same approaching 60 then I would slowly pull away.

BMW literature times are to 100km.They use the same # for 0-100 km and 0-60.100 km is 62 mph.You can subtract .3 secs for the 0-60 time.My times were done in very favorable weather conditions.I find about .7 secs diff in times from hot humid weather and cold dry weather. Most of the magazines testing the 545 got betwen 5.1 and 5.3 secs for the 0-60 time. They also correct for weather conditions.I ran on an NHRA sanctioned drag strip and clocked a 13.64 @ 103.22 mph. This was on a less than perfect weather day.On that partcular run my 0-60 time was 5.07 secs.I believe Road & Track magazine tested a 545 and got 5.1 secs 0-60,and 13.7 secs for the 1/4 mile.Based on my 5.07 time and 13.64 time it appears my GT2 timer is pretty accurate.

You mentioned that you are about even with a 335 coupe. Most magazine tests get below 5 secs for a 335.I have seen times as low as 4.7 secs for a stock 335 in these magazines.

Hmmm, if this is really the case then I got a serious ego boost today
