My Ride: 2008 550I LOADED, all options except HUD and NV
Default I made a switch, but stayed in an E60

I crashed my 2005 530 back in November, hot it back from the shop in December and it promptly started spewing smoke under acceleration. I replaced the oil seperator, that fixed my rough idle, it didn't fix the smoking problem.

So Saturday I fixed the problem for good, I traded in the 530 for a 2008 550 Carbon Black with black interior and bamboo trim, with 20,400 miles on it. The "new" car is AMAZING, it has M-sport, premium, cold weather, sports auto trans, comfort access, NAV, Sat radio, it even has folding rear seats, the only option is doesn't have is HUD.

Congratulations!

You already knew how well an E60 handled, but the V8 seals the deal.

The BMW V8s supply 80% or more of their max torque from 1800 to 6000 rpm so they pull hard from about any speed. The power is addictive.

Congrats John. Awesome car with loaded options. That is some low miles for an 08 model.

Glad you found a new ride quickly. Any planned mods?

Thanks Jason, I am really happy with it. When I found it with so low miles I jumped on it.
Mods to come: 12w AE, LED smoked side markers, LED interior lighting, matte grilles, CF roundels, RPI scoop and exhaust, and probably CKS suspension from Trinity Autosport. Then yellow HID fogs and license plate lights from John@motorcepts. Still debating options on engine tune and intake, but first I desperately need tints.
One other mod that is coming, already ordered m California Legacy Plate in black background with yellow letters.
