Ha ha well some of us have to stick with a diesel, but we still love it!!! just think in the next decade there will be no more beasts as we will have all become eco warriors, so sad but true!!!! and will it make a shite of difference..... NO WAY, because we are being suckerd by the eco warriers and these people are the children of the 60's so work that one out if you can, the fuckers should have been shot IMO!!!!

Couldn't agree with you more Rislar. Buy that M5 or 550 now if you can because sooner than you think BMW will be making lawn mowers with seating for four in order to be able to sell in this country. Look at the "cash for clunkers" program, designed not to stimulate the economy but to force buyers into putt putters. The 60's peaceniks are indeed in control of the world.

I am/was in a running argument with two guys from San Francisco (go figure) on Bimmerfest over how we all need to reduce our carbon footprint and how awesome the Toyota Prius is. One of the SF guys has "modified his Prius to equal 80% of the Mini's handling capability). I don't believe that for a second. Some people want us all to drive 4 banger hybrids while China fires up a new coal fired electricity plants (no pollution controls) every week.
By the way I am getting very disappointed in this global warming thing, at least on a local level. It has been the one of the coolest summers on record here in MA. Both June and July were cool and rainy. No heat waves, no days over 90 like when I was a kid. I don?t think we have broken 90 one day this year. I?m sure I will be freezing my ass off again this winter so come on people let?s get driving and get the temperature up?
