Thanks for the kind words everyone. If it can be simply repaired back to its original state I am not as gutted as I was. ?50-60 isnt too bad.
I am going to call my local dealer tomorrow to find out who they use and will also give wonder wheels a call (one of their drive in centres is less than five miles from my house)

Tough luck SSK
Just a word of warning make sure the mobile wheel man comes highly recommended. I had one sort the wheels on my old E46, within a couple of months the lacquer was peeling off right old mess.
I have found a company in Kent that seem to do a very proffesional job, i know its a bit of a trip but they will do it while you wait, i think they are in the region of ?50 per wheel.
spitandpolish
Good Luck

I did the same with my 172's a month ago, similar damage caused. My local Bmw dealer paint shop repaired it for ?50. They have done a really good job, they apparently have invested in some of the smart repair equipment

Did mine 172's against the kerb about 2 weeks ago back and front passenger side it was that or hit a lorry that wasn't on his side of the road so I guessed the alloy would be cheaper and easier to repair
I was upset on the day and then just accepted it, then I noticed while washing yesterday the front right is damaged too and I don't even remember that one.
Probably get Chipsaway to touch up and then do a full refurb at some point.
