Regarding the AT and dyno...that is completely false...

Put the car in 4th gear using sport/step mode...hold at around 1500-2000 rpm then punch the car until just before you hit the kickdown switch (look under you gas pedal and you will see what looks like a button)...you do not want to hit that switch...if you do try it again until you get it right....
Seems like that makes sense. Wouldnt the car automaticly drop your gear down the best possible gear? Never really tired driving off the line at 4th gear. What does this do? I mean whats the difference than just punching it in auto? or 5th and 6th gear?

You want to use the gear that gets you closest to 1:1 ratio...you would start in first like normal but in sport/step mode..."shift" your way to 4th then cruise at 1500-1800rpms for a couple seconds....then floor the car as far as you can without hitting the kickdown (if you hit the kickdown it will throw all the numbers off)...you want a clean pull through the rpm band without switching gears.

Alright, I called a local auto store in order to install a and touch screen flip up DVD screen and a 6 CD disc changer. I was told that this wasnt going to happen due to the fact that my speakers are using fiber optics for my idrive and the bluetooth phone and they cannot connect any aftermarket to this. Although I have seen someone on car domain with this exact same setup. ANOTHER No was said to me when i went in today to get my car dynoyed with the afe and then the stock box due to all uproar on the HP loss that AFE CAI cause. I was sent away because I have an automatic and was told that the gear wont hold? I have no clue so i dint argue with him. I all this true? Am i screwed?
Apparently, you have not been married for very long. LOL, sorry I could not resist.

I've only been driving the E60 for a little over a month, and I have already understood that all and any add-ons, especially to the electrical system, are done at your own risk. I also understand that all non-BMW parts work is "YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary)," meaning that just because an add-on works in my car, it does not necessarily mean that it will work the same way on your car.

Good luck,

Joe

Thanx for explaing it to me. I called in this morning to make an appointment for the dyno, and as expected I was told that even that process (rolling from fourth) would not work. I was told that I would be wasting my money and he wouldnt mind making me an appointment as long as I understand that he states I wont get what I want. What do I do?
