I would go to your dealer at least you get some come back if the repair starts to fail. I use Benham BMW in Wolverhampton who send wheels out to a place in Warwick. Cost is ?90 for a same day service.

A few years ago, one of my dad's law partners was sitting at a red light at a busy intersection in downtown Washington DC.
A bicycle courier was flying down the street, between the 2 lanes of stopped cars, and was going to run the red light. My dad's friend was the first car in line waiting for the light to change green. He looked in his driver side mirror, and saw the courier coming fast. The courier clipped his side view mirror, and fell. Luckily he did not get hit by the traffic. But papers were flying all over the place.
Anyway.., the driver got out of the car, checked his sideview mirror, and got back in his car and drove off.
I hate bike couriers. Hopefully natural selection will weed them out of existence.

but the good news is you can get that nicely repaired and not a furtune, where are you from? I saw one in UK a good shop.

Hi Guys
Spoke to a local tyre specialist who said the tyre was A OK, nothing wrong, The bit that had got cut off was something they call in the trade a Kerb rim. As for the wheel, my dealer in Blackheath gave me details of a company in Bromley. 35-45 quid and that includes them baking it via UV LAMPS.
From what I understand they sand it down, clean it up, then lacquer it and then seal it with a UV LAMP.
The dealer says they've been using this guy twice a week for years and have no comebacks.
Am going to try it next week, when we go to pickup a new 535d M Sport for my brother.
