Tough luck, dumba$$! You should have been careful... I actually almost teared up when I saw the pics, dude but I'm glad to see you find opportunity where others may see failure - g'head and get that bumper fixed and clear-bra'd - and be careful with this thing for phuck's sake!

PS if you wanna drown your sorrows, I've got some decent Remy - come on by any time

Did you price out a clear BRA? They are $$$$. I just picked up a CPO 2007 550i and I made them re-paint the already "fixed" front bumper for stone chips that were not repaired properly. I was thinking about a clear bra since the front looks brand new. However, the price of a clear bra (bumper only) is $550-$700. The price is even higher when you add the hood, mirros, etc. You can re-paint your bumper for the same price as a bra. If you get dinged in a parking lot it might mess up your bra and your bumper at the same time. I can get a after market M or ACS bumper freashly painted for less than a bra. What do folks think about clear bras (on your 5 series)??

Wow man, sorry to hear about your little incident, and for a change I can't even say...."Now you can get the bumper you REALLY want to replace it!"
I hope it gets fixed quickly and that it NEVER happens again!

Doh that sucks.

Which is one of the reason why I would not go the route of lowering my car, etc. I just don't want to have to worry about scrapes like that.

I have had the clear 3M bras on two cars [full treatment: hood, bumper, side mirrors and rear side panels] while expensive they really saved the body from stone chips. It really bothers me to see damaged paint. For me, it is worth the expense.
