i have read on this forum others that received an update to I-Drive which included updates to active steering.
my dealer is telling me that no updates have been issued for active steering.
how do i get my dealer to apply the changes to my car?

While others have reported a "tighter" or "heavier" feel to their Active Steering after a software update, I don't know if it something specific that you can get your dealer to update. It will get done as part of another/car wide software update. Do you have a recall/iDrive/AM static type issue that you can complain about that might get you a software update? That is generally how folks got the new AS software.

I'd talk to your dealer about that. A little sweet talking might get you a software update which should, in turn, get you the new AS software. I assume that what's you are looking for, the "heavier" feel that folks have reported after a software update.

yes i am. my dealer just called and stated that they are doing an all systems software update. i asked them to check the throttle and he said that the software update should address that too. the loaner i'm driving in a 525 and the throttle response seems to react better.
we'll see.

You should be all set then. The AS feeling was changed some time ago, so whatever version you get (I assume 15.x), it should help. Following my upgrade to ver 15, the throttle response is much improved. Still notice a very slight lag on rare occasion, but VASTLY improved.

the steering does feel heavier at low speeds..although i don't know if they adjusted my air pressure. i can't tell any other differences in the software other than all of my options and address book entries have been removed.
i still don't have the station call names in the radio. the 525 loaner had this.
