My Ride: 2005 545, nav, sport, PP, cold weather
it must depend on which cip you have. tested mine yesterday and it worked great. i have a 2007 650. there was a difference. when you hold it for the 2 sec in nav it goes to the last nav screen used. hold on enterment goes to last enterment screen used. this happens even when the cars been off over nite. it goes back to the last used screen.\

Really useful info.... one of the biggest annoyances with the I-Drive is that to navigate through the menus can be quite distracting!!

Tested mine last night too, but in my case it did work. We both have 520d's built around the same time. It should work on yours unless you have had some kind of software/CIP change since taking delivery.
