When I set the display to off my I-Drive backlight stays on,
Hence on a night it is still illuminated which seems very odd, this makes the display off feature almost pointless
Has it been fixed on a CIP update?
Thanks

I find that the backlight is not as bad if brightness turned down via Idrive display settings, ( before switching off display ), or by dimming dashboard lights via the little wheel.. hope this helps

The screen still glows even when its off because its a LCD.
I'm sure you're aware of the debate of LCD vs Plasma TVs? In that argument the plasma supporters always talk about how LCDs can't reproduce true black. Now you see why...

Except that, LCD's don't glow when they are OFF only when they are showing BLACK.

As said if you turn the brightness down on the I-Drive it goes completely black so why can't they make display off feature turn the brightness down to the lowest value as well.
