Driving along the other day using sat nav the idrive screen went blank and after about a minute it came back on again. Never had this happen before. Car is only March 05 but don't know what version the software is. Also was driving past the BBC in London and wondered if their broadcasting equipment caused it to happen through the sat nav?

Anyone experienced this problem?

Yep, 3 or 4 times since September/2004, with CIP 13.3

Riding now with 16.1, so far so good (but no LED's anymore  )

My cip 17 has done this twice......in the past, it locked up but 17 seems to just reboot if it hits a major glitch......altogether better as it seems to reboot without losing nav destination etc.

My 16.2 did it the other day - I was shocked!!!

Came back with all the settings (radio, volume etc) that it had when I had started the car!
