I wanted to get an aluminum break lever and i drive to match up with the door latches and little other bits of metal trim
the E60 has . a wood option brake lever no metal for the brake lever and I beleive some people bang on an m5 idrive nob!
is that coz it metal instead of plastic?

I have the m5 idrive, it is metal...it's nice feel compared to the plastic one, after the steering wheel thats what I touch the most in the car.

Just out of curiosity, how do you swap iDrive knobs? I'd like to get the M5 version.

Thanks,
Barry

Just pull it up...

To install the new one just push down...

Nothing could be simpler!

HAHAHA - no way I was going to do that unless someone here says that they've done it. Cause I know it's a $100 to fix anything I brake on the car.

Thanks... pinging Garry at Newport now.
