idrive froze last night. no sound, could not change the screen once in entertainment. the header showed more audio sources such as TV and AUX. these options where not there before.

this morning, everything worked as before and the TV and AUX sources were not an option.

anyone seen this?

Not exactly the same, ethanbmw, but did have an experience Monday which made for an earlier post. I really don't think the iDrive shenanigans that are being reported are anything more than minor computer glitches, and then she reboots herself.

the dealer may be able to see what the error code was. since it's working fine now, i'm going to wait. i'm sure i will have to have a software update at some point, however i want to wait as long as possible without major failures...to get the latest bug fixes.

My screen went blank one time as well. I think maybe the software crashed. It has not occurred again. I've got around 8,000 miles now. Other little quirks are the steering wheel not going up and occassionally the windows having a mind of their own and deciding not to go up. I'm going to wait until the Nav retro is available, hopefully software version 12 will be out and cure everything.
