Could someone tell me whether the screen on the I-Drive is permanently split or can it be altered to full screen?if so how do you do it.

it can be over rided via special interface.... so you can use full screen... like movies or Ipod screen
the interface is around the forum.... do a search.... but if you want a good deal wait a while.... it will be available soon to everybody....

Thanks for your reply's,I had heard it was a permanent split screen, but I've queried it because the initial I-Drive screen ie Nav,Entertainment etc isn't so I couldn't understand how a split screen wasn't possible.
I'll keep an eye out for future upgrades cheers Peter.

BMW has re-named the iDrive, it is now CID (CentralInformationDisplay)
and the knob is called...

The screen has always been called the CID...

I think the physical display is not split. It?s the iDrive software make it split into 2 screens. Maybe the future CIP will be different, split 50/50
