I have a 2008, 528i with the base stereo system. The standard features of my car include 10 speakers, but heck if I can find 10 speakers. I have two on the drivers side, two on the passenger side, one in the dash, and two in the rear deck. There aren't any speakers in the rear doors. So, that is a total of 7 speakers, not 10.

Are there three more that are hidden somewhere?

 

Take a look at the diagram for the Logic 7 (12 speaker) system. If the standard system does not include subwoofers (I can't remember for sure), then maybe it'll help you locate the 10 you're looking for...

Yup, my bad. I counted too quickly and forgot about the center...

 

Thanks, it looks like there are four speakers in the rear deck vs. two that I thought were there. That still leaves one speaker unaccounted for. Not, a big deal as I like the sound, but I just didn't count 10 speakers that was on the price list when I got the car.

 

Standard system has 6.

Hi-Fi has 10.

Logic 7 has 13.

9 is not one of the options so it?s there somewhere.

 

Do you have speakers on the rear doors (behind the B-pillars?) I'm thinking you may have two speakers there and no center speaker (just the center grille...)

 

No, I don't have any speakers on the rear doors. I do have the center grille, but now I am wondering if there is a speaker under there. The standard features on my car lists, "Anti-theft AM/FM stereo/CD audio system with 10 speakers. So, now I am wondering if I really just have six speakers as I would have to take the grille off the rear speakers to see if there are two speakers on each side, but it don't look like it though. This is a little frustrating.

 

9 is an option if you live by freed0m... 4 wheels is even an option...

 

There are actually 14 speakers with the Logic 7 system. Yep, it's true...



...if you count your wife's mouth as a speaker. I know I sometimes do. Hahahahaha!
