Two weeks ago when my car was less then a week old I took my kids to see The Marshall Tucker Band in Red Bank, NJ. I was turning onto a narrow street and clipped the rear passenger side rim and tore the crap out of it. I was so pissed. I had my 2006 550 for almost two years and both sets of rims were perfect when I got rid of it. Anyway, last Sunday I used my local Alloy Wheel Repair Service to fix the rim and incredibly, I cannot tell where it was scraped. The $120 was well spent and again, my new car is perfect. Now I know that there's a DIY somewhere on the boards and my respect goes out to anyone who has tried it but I had no intentions of doing so. Whew. Kudos to Gene at Alloy Wheel Repair!!

I just had mine replaced by BMW under the Rim and Tire warenty. they're so easy to damage.
Jeff, so sorry to hear, that really sucks dude! And then to have to sit through a Marshall Tucker Band concert, thats just adding insult to injury!

Jeff, don't give up like that, blame it on the wife! Also Red Bank is notorious for curbs that "jump out at you", its not YOUR fault unless you let it be so!!
