After all is said and done, estimates of repairs come up to $2600, and only 3 hours of labor. Much more than I originally expected.

USAA is awesome so that already puts you in good shape. I mean I'd be upset if anything was done to my car but the fact that it was done in the drive-by would bother me the most. That makes it super close to home and more personal... more violating. I know the "driving slow" comment from earlier was a joke but that'd be just plain stupid too. Whoever did this is a criminal and committed a real crime. Vandalizing a car is a criminal act too and not just messing around with someone. Hope they catch whoever did it. Not sure if you called the cops and they took fingerprints but that might be worth it.. checking the doors and insides of the car for latent prints that aren't yours or your family's.

I bet it is some loser in the hood who recently bought a beater e60 that was trashed and you car happened to be convienient to get the replacement parts he needed. I say leave it out there again, unlocked and wait in the bushes with a twelve pack of good beer and a shotgun and confront the son of a bitch when he returns for more!
