...did not get a response, so I'll ask again.
What is the "Anthracite Interior Trim" (Option Code "ZIA"). It can't be the Anthracite Maple Trim because the Option Code for that is "435". This "Anthracite Interior Trim" is listed in the pricelist (US) and is N/A on the 525i/530i and N/C on the 545i/545i 6sp.
Anyone know what it is?
Thanks in Advance,

Not 100% sure but I belive Option code ZIA refers to the standard trim Titanium II dark which is standard equipment on all models except 545i in Europe.

The anthacite trim is black wood, not dark aluminium! I saw it in a 530i...
However, I also don't think that the "black wood" that you saw in the 530i is the Anthracite trim that I am asking about either. The Option Code for the Anthracite Maple Trim ("black wood") is "435", but the Option Code for the Anthracite Trim that I am asking about is "ZIA".

I dont understand the confusion?
ZIA is the option code for anthracite maple in the 545
435 is the option code for anthracite maple in the 525/530
The actual wood is the _SAME_ between them both. It's the black grained wood posted at the end of my message.
Why did BMW issue two options codes for the same thing? Most likely an internal thing because to get Anthracite Trim on the 525/530 you must buy the Premium Package but on the 545 is a no charge option.
Just for the same reason BMW issued 2 option codes for the sports package, ZSS for automatic and ZSP for 6speed. An internal thing.

Normanlly all paint/interior codes are the same not only on the different versions of the same body BMW, but also within all BMW models. This does not mean that they will never do what you mentioned.
I guess "ZIA" could be a U.S. only code that BMW NA assigned for the Anthracite Maple Trim on the 545i only, versus "435" for the 525i & 530i. However, the pricelist doesn't really show it that way. If that was the case then option code "435" should have been "N/A" for the 545i/545i 6sp., just like option code "ZIA" is "N/A" for the 525i/530i.

They are indeed one in the same.
There's only 2 wood trims. If its not poplar, its the other. Like binary code, its a 0 or 1, nothing else.
Check out the options sheets. Here they list ZIA for 545 only and 435 for the 525/530.
I see where the confusion comes in but this an internal BMW thing and not something we should worry about.
