1. Fuel economy would be the primary reason, but probably to reduce the number of accidents at intersections after the light turns green. A jumpy throttle is not for everybody!

2. You can beat an M5 jk You probably burn fuel faster, however that is just speculation, try it and report back
2 in serial would be like an afterburner! Dump raw fuel into the exhaust and hold on!

I still don't get how this works. I mean, I gather that it will give you the same effect as slamming the pedal to the metal without actually doing so? My question is, so? What's so bad about putting pedal to the metal and save a few hundred bucks instead? Am I missing something?
yes you are missing a fast and a new car.
I was the 1st 1 to install this and no 1 would believe me until some guy in US started to buy 1 and sound got a new car
What BMW have done to the gas pedal is programmed it to have a few seconds delay for safety.
By cutting off the delay, you will go like a rocket.
I have beaten so many car at traffic lights like 330,530 and other cars like MB. I only have a 525i the old engine.
trust me get 1 and it will be the best Xmas present

It's actually VERY simple! If you can turn an Allen wrench and push a plug together, YOU CAN DO IT!! The DIY's here on the site are more than enough explanation, so once again......BUY ONE NOW!!

With all the sb chat, i removed mine this week as it has been on for a while and was starting to forget what my e60 was like pre sb. Although a nice car it really does feel quite slow without sb, the throttle response without is so slow and had forgotten how bad the stop to go delay/hesitation can be. As so many say 'why not just press the pedal more to get the same effect as sb' ive have tried and cannot replicate the response the sb gives. Needless to say the sb is now back on and the car is again transformed. Strangely i had the increased emissions warning the 1st time i fitted it which cleared after a few miles but no warnings on refitting the sb this time.

Like she says, it is so simple to install... one allen bolt to undo, one plug to pull apart, plug in SB, refix allen bolt, and hey presto, let the fun times begin...

Fuel consumption? Does it increase a lot with a SB? What about pedal to metal in sport mode? Same as SB?
