5mph? Isn't the resolution still 1km/h? The few times I've used it (manual transmission) on the E60 I don't recall a 5mph resolution.
Maybe I just need to RTFM.

Gental push is 1mph, hard push is 5mph. Simple and very, very good!

Not to be too picky here but it's actually gentle push increases by 1 mph and harder push takes it to the next 5 mph increment. So if you're cruise is set to 67mph, pushing to the first click will take you to 68mph. If you push it to the second click, you'll end up at 70mph...
Picky!!

Maybe Active CC will take care of some of the issues.

I think cruise is great. Just had to get used to the different controls from my old car. Makes a long commute a breeze (and helps with the mpg's!!).
HUD info is great too. Just dial in the speed and its there!!
Only wish I could use it more often on british motorways as someone always pulls in front of the nice gap you're maintaining!
Its always off and on with me!
Wonder if active cruise is really effective in these situations??
Anyone use ACC much? Wish I had it on mine!

I use cruise a huge amount towing trailers (to avoid accidentally going hugely too fast)
One thing that does annoy me (but it may just be ignorance) is that there doesn't seem to be a way to drop out (eg coming up behind a slower vehicle) without touching the brakes. Cancel loses the speed setting so resume doesn't work.
