Found it! Post 221. Wish I had ordered the "blonde in the trunk" feature.

Well after 6 months I still keep finding out new things about my e60 almost by accident. I remember shortly after I got my car in Jan there was a thread on here that basicially just told about cool features on the e60 that many people didnt know about.

Well today I was getting something out of my trunk (boot for those of you in Europe) and noticed something just inside the back lower lip of the trunk. You almost have to lean into the trunk slightly and look back towards your thighs but there is another power outlet (lighter outlet) that I was not aware of. I am sure most of you knew about this and will scoff, but I had never seen that one. Heck I didnt find the one in the passenger footwell until I read it on the cool feature thread. And now that is the main one that I use the most now days.

Anyway just thought I would mention my new discovery (for me).

I suppose everyone else knew that was there? What do any of you who use it, use it for?
If you want to find out some more revealing type of things about your e60, may I suggest a sprint booster?

After 1 year I just learned I have a rain sensor button on the wiper lever! We only get 13 inches of moisture here so seldom a need for wipers...

Hi, may I know where is the power outlet located in your first picture? Can't tell which part of the car this is from the picture.

I have only 2 power outlet in my car, located behind the centre console between the front seats. I can't find any power outlets in the front cabin.

Thanks!

Does anyone have schematics or TID(s) for installing the extra power plugs? My car came without them, and I'd like to add them in

Not sure if this is cool, a quirk, or a safety feature. Pushing the signal lever past the detent when the car is off turns on that sides AE and rear tail light.
Feature that is useful in the EU but also sometimes in the states when you parallel park in a spot with poor lighting and want to make sure your car is visible to other vehicles without excessively draining the battery.
