it happen once to me that while i was driving, i decides to wind down window and turn off aircon. After 3 seconds, i realised it turn back on its self. Tried for few times and its the same. Rest of time is ok...anyone know?

I can see the ac being turned on when the car starts is normal but not the intermittently on after it was turned off when driving. In fact there were several threads on this topic awhile back and if my memory is correct, it was caused due to a malfunction sensor or some sort which requires the replacement of the entire control unit hence many members just learn to live with it, like myself.
If anyone does know a way to correct this issue, please chime in.

My Ride: 2006 525XI, Jet black on Dakota beige. Premium and winter packages. I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny.
2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter.
Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.
