Good luck with the mod. However, I really think BMW should add these features on the non-M HUD. Personally, if the HUD also displayed engine speed and gear (for auto), then (and only then) it would be worth the money and I would have seriously considered taking it when I ordered my car. Without that, it is more than a gadget but less than completely useful since you still have to look frequently at the dashboard.

Edit: BTW, Biglad and techno, did you both notice that you are in the same town, and each respectively a prospective seller and buyer of a 535d? Go on, make it work!

I chatted to Biglad when he got his 535d and asked him a ton of questions. Unfortunately, I've forgotten to update my signature and now looking to buy an LCI 535d. They're quite expensive but I'm hoping by March 2009 (when the new 09 plate comes out) the LCI 535d will drop in price and I will have saved up enough to buy one.

No probs with the hi-jack. I think I got the answer I was looking for (which is it seems a royal pain in the butt so I will probably pass up on it). There is always the possibility that BMW will release an official software upgrade that would do this.

Right me off to update my sig!!

M5 is a nice car but it's not for me. I really like the 535d and I'll be looking to get an LCI model so I should get a lot more than 30mpg with the roads I use them on.

Good for you. The M5 was a joke really knowing we had communicated sometime ago. I knew you were after something newer although I don't remember it being an LCI but I guess your right they will be coming down in price.

Good luck with it and you will love the power and torque for the 535d :-)

Si
