Still back and fourth over options we should or shouldn't get. I have a question for US spec HUD owners or maybe the ED folks can answer this. Can you have the HUD display KPH instead of MPH?

Oh yes, it's great . You can set it for either. Even better, you can have a different setting for different keys. If you have NAV you can set it up in the display. There is an option on the Idrive to set it up. I would add PIC but, not sure how to do it on this site <_<

A picture of a real life HUD would be great! Didn't know you could do that. You may need to be registered to add pic but you should be able to attach a file up to 1mb at the bottom of the reply page.

Thanks,

Enjoy.

Tip - put the Arrrow Display in the right panel of the iDrive screen for passengers. Not only let's them enjoy the fun, but they can help navigate, too, in strange waters. It was a good move to get my wife involved in iDrive.

I'm kicking myself for not getting the HUD! The pictures make me so jealous. Enjoy it. I also wish I would have gotten the Premium Sound system.

I was just too impatient. This one was on the lot (it had gotten there that morning), and I REALLY couldn't wait!

Don't get me wrong, I love my car!

Sorry for your "pain", jksanford, but your response to not getting HUD and premium sound, makes my wait (which seems interminable) tolerable.

Waited 6 months and it was filled with anxieties, especially with all the crazies in RF constantly posting glitch after glitch, mostly based on imagined expectations. But, it all paid off because I have what I wanted. Well, almost. I tried to opt back for Alpine White but missed the deadline. Anyway, I'm a very happy camper and guess what! No glitches. Not even one small one.

Over 150mph and 3000mi and still going, not a glitch. Did I mention I'm in Germany . I have all the toys except one. Confort seats, "need it, no; want it, yes". Someone tell me it is possible as a retrofit . Forgot to mention voice activation. Still waiting on software upgrade 12.0, when will it get here .

Hey spec33,

Thanks for your reply and picture. Do you have a US spec car? If so are the German dealers able to take care of your software upgrades without too much hassle? How is 150mph? It is so hard to be crusing along at 100mph in the our current beater and being passed all the time. I can't wait to start fitting into the fast lane!
