It's gotta be some tough nut. It took until week 49 (2004) production to get HUD in the 6er. I believe it was somewhat earlier for EU models. In any case I passed on each months order slot until I knew I could get it as OEM not trusting ANY possible claims (and never made by BMW or dealers to my knowledge) of retrofit possibilities. Glad I held out as it is one of my favorite options.
