Guys

I have the chance to buy a used HUD and was wondering what process was required to fit it. Is it a major job or is everything there for me and BMW can connect some wires etc?

Cheers Paul

My idea (like other BMW electronic gizmos) it might be cheaper to sell your car and buy a new one with HUD.

Don't even try it. You will need a new windshield, dashboard cover, wiring harness several relays and swithces and coding. It would be cheaper to use the money to get out of the BMW you have and order a new one with HUD.

HUD retrofit is one of the ALMOST impossible things to do...

and the other possible problem is that someone said that there may not be a HUD for right hand drive cars, but the other issues above are already daunting enough....

You'd have a better chance of retrofitting Penelope Cruz to the passenger seat.

Uhh...no....I think you'd have a better chance of retrofitting the HUD. I don't think Penelope can be had for a mere $7,000!
