I can swear when I first took delivery of my car, the very first time I started it up at the dealership, I had the option of adjusting my HUD left to right and up and down and also had a choice of female or male voice for navigation. I must say I have never been able to reproduce this adjustment screen and have never seen this info on any forum. Has anyone else ever seen this or am I just going crazy :'(

My understanding is only the BMW service guys can make adjustments to the HUD alignment. I think they have to open up the HUD unit to make the adjustment. I think you must have dreamed about changing the voice though.

took 5 to dealer today to get the HUD adjusted vertically along with some other service stuff. Got a call later that said HUD adjustment cant be done.
Went to pick up car and took print outs of the instructions posted on the site for height adjustment, display adjustment etc.
2 Master Mechanics (with instruction print outs) said it still cant be done.
I saw the Icemans thread on having his HUD adjusted.
And yet they want all 5s on the feedback....maybe all 5s for feedback cant be done either.
Unbelievable

Well, if it can't be done, what have they done with mine then?
Of course it can be done. And it's nothing we have found out, this is official, from HQ. Tell them to read their fu**ing stuff/bulletins correctly.

Shit I did mine 2 weeks ago, it took about 10 minutes flat. What a difference, its now in the perfect position. All I needed was three tools...
When I asked my service guy about it, he looked puzzeled, but he didnt say it cant be done. I did it myself anyway. I was thinking of going to my service department and showing them how to do it.

guess what, that makes you a Master Mechanic.
There's at least 2 Master Mechanic jobs at my local dealer that you could take easily.

Hey if you need help adjusting the HUD, let me know. It will take you no more than 10-15 mins.
