Had that noise too. Very loud when you come into a warm garage from cold, damp weather. Really!

They got me a complete new steering (warranty).

anyone have a fix for this? I have it too. seems to happen sometimes, when turning at a stop or vey slow, to the right on my car. kind of a howling/grinding type of noise.

Mine had this problem ( dec 2003 build ), the dealer had to strip down the steering assembly & lubricate some kind of felt washer. They said it was a common problem..

Had the same, got complete new steering.

Sounded like rubber on iron or so
