Yep, that's what I was afraid of. It is still under warranty but will they replace a cracked one ?? I guess I shall ask.

Well that's just ridiculous! That just made me like my car a little less. I guess the moral of this story is to be careful with your knobs....

Found a unit on E-bay for a lot less. So I hope it's just plug and play or easy knob replacement. Do they just pop off ? like the weasel
