Thumbs up How to wash off oil?

Good morning everyone!

I have recently changed the oil pan in my vehicle as I was told that my old one is damaged in garage and was told to pay 1200 euro for it. After this price I decided to contact my friend in other city for his price. He done all work with original BMW service with original part for 600. Also he showed me my part and told that it is in good condition and it was not required to changed it. So I have old part which I want to sell on Ebay but first I need to wash off a little burned engine oil on it. Any advice what chemicals I could use to wash oil and a bit dirt on it?

Many Thanks

dish washer soap and some petrol mixed makes a very good degreaser. Petrol is a good solvent but it will dry out so fast. If you make a mix of 1 part gasoline and 2 parts dishwashing soap (for hand washing dishes, not the automatic dishwasher soap) it will dissolve the grease. Use a brush to scrub and then wash it off with garden hose.

Thanks lads.

I was thinking to buy some acetone and use it to wash of the burned oil
