how to use voice commands?

I can't use voice command at my 530i at china. i have read the manual many times and i have already fulfilled the condition listed at the manual. but the "speech" button only words like a "idrive display ON' function.

[/quote]sorry, i can't try "option" command as my voice command can't be used. everytime i press the "voice command" button, it only turn on the idrive screen. it can't start the function of using vioce command. i have asked ny local bmw agent (at Shenzhen). but they all are new to this function. none of them can help.

Press down on your iDrive and play around with the settings, read the manual. BTW does the iDrive in China display Chinese?

Didnt notice if anyone asked... but are you sure you have voice command? Here in the states it only comes with Navigation...

[/quote]I think with the Non-Nav, you get a simple set of voice commands for the bluetooth phone (Save Name, Dial Name, Dial Number, Read Phonebook, Delete Phonebook, #0-9 and Alpha)
