6' here and the 3 series is too small for my taste, the 5 is just the right size.

6'1", and the scale says, "One at a time please".
Of the cars I've driven, my height, weight, and shoulder width don't appear to be as much of a problem as it is in Japanese cars I've owned. The only cars I've driven and felt equally comfortable in recently, was our 2006 Ford Fusion.
I have a buddy that's 6'10" and he had a 3-series BMW- coupe. I guess the Germans engineer these things for little Napolean Complex guys, as well as Sumo Wrestlers.

I'm 6'2" and 265lbs. We originally test drove a 328ix and it was a lot tighter than I thought it would be. I say this because I have previously owned a 2003 A4 and a 2005 TSX. Both of those cars were comfortable. The 3 says it is there same size on paper, but I could not get my knees under the dash when I was in the passenger seat without pushing the seat all of the way back. The driver's seat was a little better, but it felt much smaller than the Audi or Acura. I had driven both of those cars with passengers in the rear. I don't think that I could get anyone behind me in the 328ix.

I'm 6ft. Though the 3 series are nice, i could not imagine driving it every day with my family. The 550i is the only 4-Dr i drove that makes me feel like i'm driving a 2 door (that's a great thing!), but yet has plenty of space.
